Masters of the Universe “Spikor” Commercial (1985)

When I first saw this commercial for Spikor, the latest addition to Skeletor’s growing army of ‘Evil Warriors’ back in my youth…I immediately thought that He-Man would pick up one of those loose boulders and just bowl his menacing foe down.

I still think that is what happened after the commercial fades to black.

Apparently in 2012 when the Masters of the Universe Classics released Spikor they also include a bio that explained his real name was Kleffton and he was a blacksmith in the Eternian village of Nordling. Upon stealing a scroll from the high priests of Nordling he was fused with an enchanted suit of spikes as well as a trident before being banished to wander Eternia where Skeletor found him and put him to work making arms and armor for his armies in the battle against the Snake Men.

Whenever I hear certain announcers talk about Frank Gore, it sounds like they’re saying Fank-Or, possibly the worst MOTU villain ever.
