In the late 1970s and early 1980s, the novelty t-shirt really became fashionable for the adult market. No longer was a plain white or even a bold colored tee fashionable. No, now your shirts had to say something. Here are a few selections that ran in an article about the rise of the t-shirt in 1981. I really like the Space Mountain one, I would trade a whole bottle of hair conditioner to that woman for it.
