I love the late 60’s TV show “Scooby Doo, Where Are You?”. It’s a silly premise, the Hanna-Barbera animation was often ropey, and to say the stories were formulaic would be an understatement. But, despite those things, the characters are iconic, the show is laced with wonderful humour, and “…I would have gotten away with it too, if it weren’t for you meddling kids” is as much part of pop-culture as “Let the Force be with you”.
I recently stumbled upon an old 2007 post from the Secret Fun Blog which gave me another reason to love the show – the background art! Their 50 SCOOBY-DOO BACKGROUND PAINTINGS article is well worth a view if you like what you see below.
