This 1984 Russian Animated Short Film Of Bradybury’s “There Will Come Soft Rains” Is Terrifyingly Beautiful.

There Will Come Soft Rains - Ray Bradbury - Nazim Tyuhladziev
A big thanks to Larry Bundy Jr. for being kind enough to point me in the direction of this fantastic 1984 Russian animated short film adaptation of Ray Bradbury’s “There Will Come Soft Rains”! This isn’t the first time I’ve shared my love of this particular short story on the site, just two months ago on Retro Records we had the story read by none other than Leonard Nimoy.

I’m afraid I was unaware of this short film until Larry sent me the link but it appears that the Director, Nazim Tulyakhodzayev, would go on to produce a film adaptation of Bradbury’s “The Veldt” in 1987. While this short film is presented in its native Russian language there are English subtitles.
