Dorothy Hamill for Clairol Short & Sassy

In the 1970s, even though a lot of women wore their hair short, Olympic figure skating champion Dorothy Hamill seemed to have a lock on the short hair look. So many people wanted to emulate her that Clairol locked here in as the face of their new product Short & Sassy in 1976. Three years later and ads with Hamill in them were still running in magazines and newspapers.
