Well get out of the way with your antiquated thinking old man, this is 1982 and the new Playland has everything that a modern Canadian amusement park needs including but not limited to: fast moving lights, loud noises, mildly terrifying clowns and much much more*.
Just remember that Playland will be closed for Pacific National Exhibition from August 16th-20th. So if you need a supply of candy floss during those days make sure to buy extra on the 15th.
*much much more may or may not be equal to some more. Check schedules at the entrance for the type of more you can expect on the day of your visit.
