Today, May 22, Steven Patrick Morrissey, former lead singer of The Smiths, current autobiographer, and constant curmudgeon, turns a deplorable 55 years old. The best way to celebrate such an occasion is probably to not celebrate it at all. For even Moz has previously declared that he doesn’t mind if we forget him.

However, if you feel as though something must be done to mark the occasion, maybe think about buying tickets to his upcoming summer tour, in support of his new album, World Peace Is None of Your Business, which hits shelves (CDs still do that, right?) on July 15. It’s such a little thing, but the difference it makes is grave.
