T-shirts of the 1982 Sears Wishbook

Hi kids. Your old pal IseeRobots here again. I picked up an old Sears Wish Book the other week and I’ve been slowly going through it. You know, savoring it. I’ve barely peaked at the toys yet but I did flip to the sporting goods to see the NFL figures that I lusted after as a kid, but that was more to make sure that they actually existed. I’ve never seen them for sale when I’ve been out and about so I wasn’t really sure if they were real. They were.

Anyhow, I was poking about the catalog when I came across these awesome shirts. Man, another thing that I didn’t have as a youth. I mostly had sports shirts even though I wasn’t that big of a sports guy. I guess my Dad was and he paid for my gear. That’s cool though. I’m not complaining. I’m only saying that it would have been really rad to have that Dungeons And Dragons shirt and that Gargamel one and The Duke Boys tee isn’t anything to sneeze at either.

I’ve always been a fan of the ringer style shirt too. I dig the extra flair. I’m a little flamboyant that way. Oh ya! What about those belt buckles? Nothing to dislike about that. That kid Mike looks pretty pleased with himself doesn’t he? Who wouldn’t be with a Pac-Man shirt and a name plate belt buckle?

Want to see what IseeRobots is up to on the daily? Head over to Facebook and give me a big thumbs up. You won’t be sorry for long.

Edit – Title changed to 1982 thanks to some detective work by some retro folks on Twitter.
