Werther’s Original

Bow at the feet of grandpa, boy, and he shall give you hard candy and tell you the story of how he fled Germany in 1945 for the sunny climes of Argentina.

  1. Thomas Orth says:

In the 80’s that candy was sold as Werthers echte but in the lat 90’s they changed it into Werther’s Original, the slogan does’nt roll as easily of your tongue as it did back then. I have not eaten Werther’s Original in years.
Besides this site is a springwell of Classic and truly nostalgic information of Pop Culture, even for a german like me. Most of this commercials where broadcasted worldwide, it’s interesting to find out that i have drunk Kool-aid in the 80’s *oh yeah* which was renamed as Quench by the Britains. I saw the classic tv-spots and found out that it was kool-aid all the time *mind blown* absolutely great !
