Soft Cell’s Marc Almond sings Tainted Love Accompanied by Floppy Disc Drives

Over a year ago a video was posted online showing an array of floppy drives performing the Soft Cell classic, “Tainted Love”. That version of the song would find its way to the lead singer of Soft Cell, Marc Almond and he would take it to the next level by adding the missing vocals.

I think Almond should grab this box of floppy drives and take it on the road as Soft Cell 2.0.

  1. I LOVE that Marc Almond is actually, truly, singing over these floppy drives. Shows he’s got a great sense of humor about things. Not to diminish how cool this is anyway, but let’s face it- we’d never hear Morrissey singing along to a floppy drive performance of “How Soon Is Now” :)

I would love to see a Rick Astley Never Gonna Give You Up disc drive video like this…..
