I found this action figure at a big indoor garage sale last weekend. This is Gor, King of the Terrons. Made by Hasbro in 1977. Gor was the enemy of Hasbro’s Super Joe lineup released that year. These figures were 8-9 inches tall. Hasbro stopped making the 12 inch figures the year before. The Super Joe figures featured battery-powered lights to simulate laser weapons. Here is a cool commercial showing Gor.

I had the 12 inch G.I. Joes back in the 70s but never had any of these Super Joes. Hasbro made some great stuff back then!

I love retro toys, television, movies and just about anything from the 70s and 80s.I frequent flea markets, thrift shops, garage sales and auctions hoping to nab my next pop culture trophy.

I had one of those back around 2nd grade. I had the Super Joe Rocket Command Center too. I liked those toys a lot. The Command Center had this detachable like sled that Joe could tool around in.

Too bad the joints disintegrate over time or I would have collected those again.
