Hey friends, we’ve got a nice little Retro Records selection for you this week. From 1963 we present the Long Playing Record entitled “Tubby the Tuba” which happens to be narrated by none other than the late great Annette Funicello who also lends her voice to the songs. The music for the record was composed by Paul Tripp and George Kleinsinger with the Tuba itself being performed by John Thomas Johnson.
As usual from the uploads by Kiddie Records Weekly we are treated to a crisp and clear sound as well as a wonderful snapshot of the days we could pick up such a recording from our local stores. Now in the original release the second side of the album had additional music…about music with Toot, Whistle, Plunk and Boom, Old McDonald Had a Band, Smile and Face the Music, and Fun with Music.
