When I mention the Sega-Vision you probably think of the handheld Sega Vision videogame system. But well before that, way back in the 1970s, Sega released it first home product, a large format TV they called the Sega-Vision (a magical play on tele-vision). They would sell 3 models of Sega-Visions all of them in sturdy wooden cabinets, but in differing sizes, with the largest having a 50 inch diagonal screen.
I think what many remember about the TV is their ad campaign which featured Los Angeles Dodgers’ first baseman Steve Garvey and his amazing head of hair.
