Nautical-Themed Time Capsule House from the 1940’s

I’ve written about a similar house in Australia. But that one is in another hemisphere. And it’s just a run-of-the-mill, if immaculate, 60’s home. Old and busted, I say. New hotness: A home that’s been crystallized in amber with an intact theme.

The upstairs is cool, but this ship really sails once you get to Davy Jones’ Locker, a.k.a. the basement. The incredible, home-crafted nautical theme is so thorough that you can practically smell the salt spray and pirate gold.

If any readers want up pony up the $500,000 asking price, be sure to invite us over for a Retroist party.

I really want to drink a Navy Grog or Fog Cutter in that downstairs bar.
