The US Navy Presents “How to Succeed with Brunettes”

In the late 1960s, the US Navy created this educational film that teaches a young sailor the “dos and don’ts” on dating. It seems weird, but I don’t think these films are a bad idea, if the military is trying to have their recruits act specific ways at all times. What I wonder is if people took these lessons to heart and if you were a women, who happened to date two sailors, would you be totally freaked out when they did the exact same things on your dates?

Ready gentlemen…

  1. The beginning of the video threw me for a loop. I was thinking “the Navy teaching these guys how to be jerks!” Then I realized they were showing us how NOT to act.
