Mark Hamill discusses Star Wars Episode VII back in 1983

In this brief clip from 1983, Hamill mentions Lucas’ future plans for a Star Wars trilogy that might have Luke taking the role of elder Jedi. Hamill states that Lucas was thinking this would take place around 2011, which is pretty close. I imagine this was all a coincidence, but you got to admit, it is a pretty marvelous one. The thing I don’t believe about this interview is that Hamill would even say, “well, I don’t know.”

You take the role Mark!

  1. Yes, Mark, take that role! But first get on the treadmill and do some strength training. I want to see Grand Master Jedi Luke, not Flab Master Jedi Luke! ;-)
