The Real Ghostbusters: “The Collect Call Of Cathulhu” (1987)

What better way to start your morning than watching a classic episode of the Real Ghostbusters? Originally airing on ABC on October 27, 1987 “The Collect Call of Cathulhu” is a wickedly fun episode and as you can guess from the title has more than a few H.P. Lovecraft references.

So why not pull up a spot beside me as we see if the Ghostbusters can manage to get their hands on the stolen Necronomicon and do battle with a deity that “makes Gozer look like Little Mary Sunshine.”, why I’ve even saved you a bowl of Boo Berry cereal.

It is a great episode. And it is what inspired me to pick up HP Lovecraft’s works. The episode pays great homage to the classic work.

However, I do question if this aired on ABC on Saturday morning. It was my understanding that this was from the syndicated group of episodes.
