Pillsbury Halloween Cookies

One of the things I enjoy about this time of year is that it was the start of the “cookie season” in my family. For the various Halloween cartoons we would buy logs of Pillsbury cookie dough. Nowadays they have all these fancy cookie with designs built right in, but we used to but the plain sugar cookies and smear orange frosting on them. Then if we had the patience we would make designs on them with chocolate chips or candy corn. I very rarely had the patience and wanted to eat them as warm as possible.

I have all of my favorite Halloween specials on DVD now, so I don’t need to wait anymore. I think tonight I will head to the supermarket and pick up some sugar cookies and frosting and do my Halloween cookies old school.
