Starcom Toy Line

I always though the Starcom: The U.S. Space Force cartoon was fairly underrated, but after an accidental run in with a few Starcom toys at a flea market last week, I am starting to feel the same way about the toy line. I am not saying I am starting a new collection, but…okay I am starting a new collection. Have you see these things?? They are amazing!

  1. derek- I believe you’re thinking of Captain Power and the Soldiers of the Future.

I remember when these toys came out & were kind of a big thing. I however had no interest in them, because they just seemed like nasa space shuttles with a magnet gimmick. (…Which fits, since their intended purpose was to promote nasa’s young astronauts program.) They seemed about as exciting as a toy schoolbus with a plastic gun glued on. A neighbor kid did have some of the toys though & they were “ok”.

  2. Starcom is neck and neck with the Wheeled Warriors in terms of toys I missed in my youth and that I continue to kick myself for not getting into. Grow that collection, Retroist!
