In 1942 World War II Comes to the Forest in the Cartoon, “Song of Victory”

In this none too subtle Screen Gems “Color Rhapsody” cartoon from 1942, Adolf Hitler, Benito Mussolini, and Hideki Tojo are depicted as a vulture, gorilla, and hyena and are terrorizing the forest they in which the dwell. So it is up to the woodland creatures to rise up and overthrow these bullies. The cartoon was produced by Dave Fleischer, supervised by Frank Tashlin, directed by Bob Wickersham and released by Columbia Pictures.

Take that you woodland Axis goons!
