Nickelodeon on 92nd Street

This September, Slimed, an oral history of the Nickelodeon channel, one of my childhood favorites, will be released. I’ve already got the book on my wishlist (which, by the way, is a great source of gift ideas for good ol’ Doug that anybody can access!). To promote this book, Penguin publishers are holding a huge Nickelodeon party at Kaufmann Concert Hall in New York. Slimed author Matt Klickstein will be master of ceremonies for the event, Marc Summers will be the host, and 30+ Nick VIPs and personalities will be on hand. I can’t make it, but if you’re in the area, you can pick up tickets for the ultra-cheap and oh-so-worth-it price of $20 here.

Doug is a child of the 80s who was raised in Ohio and is now living the life of oblivion in the bay area of California.
