Carl Barks was mighty talented. He almost single-handedly created the Disney extended universe, especially the part that centered around Donald Duck and his friends and family. Even if you have never read his comics, you are probably familiar with his contribution through the animated series, Duck Tales.
Here he is in a 1994 interview on Danish TV, six years before he passed away. It gives some interesting insight into his genius and hopefully will persuade you to go and check out some of his comic work.
