Remember the TV Magic of “CHiPs Goes Roller Disco?”

In the 2 hour season premier of CHiPs’ 3rd season the guys hit the roller disco along with an amazingly star-studded cast. This episode ran in the fall of 1979 which makes the cast and subject matter appropriate. A send off of an amazing decade with a backdrop that is pure Seventies.

If you want to see this episode you will need to hunt it down online or wait for it to be broadcast on one of the retro TV channels because sadly they have not yet released season 3.

  1. This NEEDS to be made available to the public! I am eager to see if it will dethrone my two favorites Chips episodes: the one where Donny Most plays a KISS-type rocker and the one where Richard Simmons plays himself (and faints).

  2. I used to watch chips/reruns religously as a kid, from further back than I can remember, up until they stopped showing it when I was around 12. I don’t think I recall the roller disco episode, but I do recall similar scenes from the show, they might be from this episode or from other episodes.
