Retroist On the Right Track Podcast

Welcome to the Retroist On the Right Track Podcast. On this week’s show I talk all about the Gary Coleman comedy classic, On the Right Track. This film was very popular on cable TV in the 1980s. I think I watched it every time it was on. This week I am joined this week by Vic Sage with a new “Why Should I Know this Person?”and Rob “Flack” O’Hara with a great new “Talking Tech”.

  1. Atari Adventure Square says:

Ya gotta do more TV movie podcasts like this one cuz it’s great to revisit singular viewing experiences which don’t get much (or any) retro coverage but still meant a lot since TV movies were mini-events of their own.
In the mythical days of unrecorded media, the brain was the VHS of the day (Stop yer laughing, young ‘uns! It’s TRUE I tells ya!)

Been rewatching Diff’rent Strokes on Netflix recently, so this podcast was timely.
Gary Coleman was truly a comedic savant.

And gotta mention this: I got the podcast from iTunes and was ******g surprised to see an EXPLICIT tag on it.
Well, I thought “About ******o time the Retroist got Q*Bert on the podcast as a guest”

I mean, I don’t get it, but ****q great. The little guy seemed to need work after Wreck-It-Ralph.
Imagine my ******p surprise when the ‘cast was Q*Bertless and as clean as usual (which is refreshing, cuz it’s hard to find any entertainment podcast that isn’t filthy…even Dan Rather would swear like a toe-stubbed Popeye on one of these things)

Anyway, so yeah, the podcast is *****j labeled Explicit for nothing.

    Otherwise, a *******x good show.

  2. I thought I would change things up and go on a profanity laced tirade in this episode. I hear all the kids like that sort of thing, so I finally decided to work blue. It was a very freeing experience and I think people will really enjoy how I lay into the Purple Pie Man during my Strawberry Shortcake episode. When you finish the episode you will KNOW that in your heart no one has used the F-word so masterfully to describe a cartoon villain.

I did not notice the explicit label, but did receive some confused emails. I fixed it and it should work itself out. Crazy.
