Star Trek Fan Film: The Trouble with Walnuts (1977)

I enjoy Star Trek fan films, the closer they are made to the original series, the better. This gem was made in 1977 and has some “cutting edge” special effects, wonderful acting and very poor sound. So turn it up and enjoy, “The Trouble with Walnuts”.

  1. Holy Walnetto!
    That was AWESOME!
I too was a punky kid making homemovies back in the late 70s but nothing with that much effort and thought like these guys did- WELL DONE!
Love the scratch-on efx that had to be done for each frame, one by one.
Love all the toy STAR TREK stuff used as props: the AURORA or AMT Enterprise model and possibly the A.F.I. “Rack Toy” STAR TREK set for the phasers or even the AMT STAR TREK “Explorer Set” prop models.
Seeing this film makes me eager to dig out my old amateurish Super8 films and get them digitized too!
