Kurt Russell Is…Mattel’s Agent Zero M!

Kurt Russell - Mattel Agent Zero
Sure, these days we all know that Kurt Rusell (Escape From New York, The Thing) is awesome and an accomplished actor but did you know that when he was just a boy he was already keeping the World safe? Yeah! He was in the field of Counter Espionage…known as Agent Zero M!

Mattel released the line of Agent Zero M toys in the 60s and as you can see from the commercial they were ‘ordinary’ objects that changed into weapons when you needed them most. They offered a movie camera, photo camera, and a knife…that all turned into guns.

Which you can see in action from this clip by a young Joel Hodgson (Mystery Science Theater 3000)

  1. I’m pretty sure the guy in the Tootsie Roll ad that follows the Agent Zero M one is the guy who played Droppo in Santa Claus Conquers the Martians. That face is etched into my nightmares.

  2. You are quite correct, Bill! That is indeed Bill McCutcheon trying to contain the flavorful taste of a Tootsie Roll.
