When the candy store near my home first got video games it was a BIG deal. The are surrounding the games was packed and to get a view of just the game play could be difficult. I remember trying to worm my way around the side of The Moon Patrol cabinet to get a look at the action, but being blocked. That did not get me to leave, instead I just stood at the side of the cabinet, staring at the wonderful stenciling and dreaming of when I would get up there and get to play my quarter’s worth. The game in my head was not too far off from the one on the screen and nowadays when I am lucky enough to see a Moon Patrol arcade cabinet, I can’t help but smile.
