Together We Stand, was a short run sitcom that aired on CBS from 1986-1987. The show starred Elliot Gould and Lori Randall as parents who have adopted a bunch of kids. Sherwood Shwartz, who produced the show, said it was originally written as a spin-off of the Brady Bunch back in the 1970s. That didn’t work out and neither did “Together We Stand”. The network moved it around and changed the plot (removing Gould) and retitled it “Nothing is Easy”. I think I was pulled into watching it by the presence of Temple of Dooms’ Jonathan Ke Quan and I wound up liking it, but unfortunately it did not last very long. At least we have snippets and memories to remind us of what could have been.
