Heat your Home with Blue Coal’s Budget Plan

I had a friend who lived in an old house that still had a decent sized coal bin area in the basement. While digging around their we would find all sorts of coal and other old product ephemera. One of pieces of paper we found mentioned this exotic product called “blue coal”. We didn’t realize it was a brand name at the time and thought it was a type of coal that was blue or that maybe when you burned it the fire was blue. We were young and coal seemed so exotic to us.

  1. The Cosmic Joker says:

I dunno. This sounds like another clean coal scam if you ask me.

  2. Max Power says:

“Blue Coal” was anthracite coal, but it really was sprayed with blue dye to make it distinctive.
