Full On YouTube – Blue Thunder

Did you know you can see some of the best movies from our childhoods on YouTube in their entirety? They are

I never saw Blue Thunder as a kid, but I was aware of it via the TV adaptation. The TV adaptation was a fun romp with a super helicopter. The movie, which I actually watched Sunday on Crackle, is a weird and twisted dive into military states and collateral damage in the skies above LA. The full version is on YouTube, but since Blue Thunder has a blue scene, I’ll merely link to it here and post the trailer.

And if you’re interested in the show, you can see the first episode on YouTube as well. Is that Dana Carvey in a flight suit, you ask? Why, yes it is, and yes, he does do his Jimmy Stewart impersonation.

Doug is a child of the 80s who was raised in Ohio and is now living the life of oblivion in the bay area of California.

I watched this show and Airwolf at the time they aired. I think Airwolf is the better show and it is also the one most remembered.

The movie is really good. We are due for another awesome helicopter movie.

I love the movie Blue Thunder! One of my best cinema memories is going with a group of friends to see Blue Thunder and then Psycho 2 on the same day.

  3. I remember this one. Of course I watched it as a kid and naturally wanted to be a helicopter pilot for an entire week after ;-)
