My 1980s dream car was probably the DeLorean. We had a few in my town and I always found them mesmerizing. My friends on the other hand has visions of something a lot sleeker and a lot faster, the Ferrari. Posters of these cars in either black or red dotted the bedrooms of kids throughout the 1980s and I would have to sit and listen to long discussions about their specs.
I could not care less about them, but I often tried to see what they saw when they looked at these cars. Did they picture racing down a coastal highway on a sunny afternoon? Wind blowing in their hair? Generic guitar music blasting? I guess I will never know. Looking at it now, I got to admit, it is a cool looking car.
