This picture should be entitled “A Young Man and His Droid”! Just enjoy this behind the scenes pic of a young George Lucas standing next to what would become one of the most iconic droids in film history. A huge thanks as always to Quint over at Ain’t It Cool News for sharing this with us as well as to Robert Miller and the folks at the Practical Effects Group!

  1. I love these behind the scenes of Star Wars. I bought the Blueray Saga set and its loaded with this kind of great stuff. VicSage how I would love that astromech droid on my deck this summer, would make a great cooler.
