Enter The Dragon 40th Anniversary Ultimate Collector’s Edition Coming to Blu-Ray

I was flipping through the channels this weekend when I came across “Enter the Dragon”. It is one of those movies that is difficult to stop watching, so I didn’t. Afterwards I did a little search on it and was shocked to be reminded that it is the 40th anniversary of the film. Big anniversaries for movies mean special editions and it looks like Enter the Dragon is getting a good one.

The release is scheduled for June 11, 2013 and here are a few of the promised bonus features:

  • Commentary by producer Paul Heller
  • New Featurette No Way As Way
  • New Featurette The Return to Han’s Island
  • New Featurette Wing Chun: The Art that Introduced Kung Fu to Bruce Lee
  • Interview Gallery featuring Lee’s wife, Linda Lee Caldwell
  • Vintage pieces
  • Backyard Workout with Bruce Lee
  • Curse of the Dragon
  • Location: Hong Kong with Enter the Dragon
  • Blood and Steel: The Making of Enter the Dragon
  • Personal Profile Bruce Lee: In His Own Words
  • Five trailers
  • Seven TV spots

No pre-order links yet, but set those calendars…

I have a VHS release of the film. IMHO, it is one of the (if not THE) best martial arts films, ever. I’ll take a wait-and-see position on the Blu-Ray. The VHS works fine and I have a 6 head machine with which to view it. But with all the extras, it may be a “must have.”
