Around 1990, I got an IBM PS/1 computer. It came with software called Prodigy. This was an online service like Compuserve. It blew my mind that I could connect with other computer users by dialing into a service using a modem. I loved this thing! I studied science through the online encyclopedia, played a text/graphic adventure game, joined the model rocketry discussion board, and sent/received electronic mail for the first time. You really gotta get this thing!
