Fruity Pebbles Christmas Commercial

Claymation Werewolf quoted this commercial on Facebook yesterday. He quoted it without any context, just giving the lines, but I still knew exactly what he was talking about. I saw this commercial so many times during the Christmas breaks of the mid-80s that I still know it by heart. One of the things that always amazed me about it is how quickly the drama is set up and then resolved. Pretty good for a holiday-themed commercial, I’d say.

I remember this. I was never into Flintstones much, but every second of this commercial is engraved on my brain. What I never noticed before though, is how strange Fred looks. His arms are longer and more realistic than they were in the old cartoon. Kind of creepy looking.
