Retro Radio Memories: Jean Shepherd – “Locked Out”

Welcome back friends to a new installment of Retro Radio Memories. This week thanks to the A Christmas Story 2 Forum Post by Retroist Regular Badwolf we have an episode from the 1960’s WOR radio broadcast by the late great Jean Shepherd. Most retro fans will know Jean as the ‘Adult Voice’ of Ralphie from 1983’s A Christmas Story. Of course he also happened to be the writer of the screenplay as it was based on his collection of short stories ‘In God We Trust, All Others Pay Cash”.

A big thanks to Peachy who crafted the intro music you hear before the start of the Radio Program. If you have musical needs you should send him a request at peachypixel8@gmail.com Of course if you feel like heaping praises upon him, as well as you should, you may also contact him at peachy@retroist.com and make sure to “like” him on his Facebook Page.

So leave the ironing of your clothes for just a bit longer and pull up a chair as you are entertained by the amusing anecdotes of Jean Shepherd on Retro Radio Memories!
