1977 Sears Tele-Games Video Arcade system Commercial

I miss video game console commercials like this one for the Sears Tele-Games Video Arcade System.

  1. In my personal Atari 2600 collection I have a complete in box (well 99.9%) Sears heavy sixer. The only thing missing to make it 100% complete is one Sears hex disc since one of the joysticks is missing it. I also have the 9 launch titles for it as well. Other then the cover (silver paint and different looking wood grain on the front), it’s basically a standard Atari 2600 Sunnyvale, CA heavy sixer.

  2. That is awesome, Commodore Computer Club! I picked up one of them at a garage sale waaaay back in my youth and that person had a pretty good library of games as well. We just kind of put it in storage in case our ‘real’ Atari stopped working on us…which it never has! :)

    Great ad!
Rekindles the VG passion in those years of discovery.
Seeing all those monitors with the colorful game screens was (and still is) exciting!

    It was all about possibility.
    Still is, today.

I love the flickering on the screens. The genuine article – they didn’t try to fancy up the graphics at all. Great find.
