Wreck-It, Wreck-It Ralph By Buckner and Garcia

With tomorrow’s release of Walt Disney’s Wreck-It Ralph, what some critics are calling a love letter to 80s gaming it seemed the appropriate time to share this bit of news. The theme song for the film entitled “Wreck-It, Wreck-It Ralph” is by none other than Buckner and Garcia, the duo most well known for their hit song Pac-Man Fever.

I believe that while Gary Garcia started work on the project he wasn’t able to complete it before his untimely death last November, though some of the original members of the band helped Jerry Buckner complete the song!

Jerry Buckner explains how they got the job in the video posted below:

  1. I don’t rush out to buy soundtracks, but I picked this up and am enjoying not only this song but “Bug Hunt” and all the stuff by Henry Jackman.

  2. Atari Adventure Square says:

The news of Buckner and Garcia music for this exciting retrocade movie is like adding Free Play to my anticipation cabinet.
    Or something like that.

Disney really knows its audience for this.

    Really dig the new tunes.
