Hanging with Ronald

As a reader of the Retroist, I think October is my favorite month. I love seeing and reading about people’s retro Halloween stories, decorations, and costumes.

As a writer for the Retroist, I think November is my favorite month. Like the rest of the staff writers I try to keep my October posts Halloween related, but that doesn’t mean I didn’t find lots of non-Halloween related retro things to share last month as well! As a result, November becomes a busy month for me as I have a stash of things waiting to share with you all, as well as whatever retro-related news items may pop up on my radar.

Here’s to a great McMonth!

  1. This is generally a month I like to take slow myself. I enjoy X-mas but I only need a month of it, which allows November the relaxed coziness it deserves.

You should make a bid on that Ronald statue. That would be awesome to have.

  3. I would love to own something from an original McDonald’s playground, but they’re crazy expensive. About the cheapest thing you can get are those “Fry Guy” rockers that were mounted on a giant spring. Those go for $300-$500. There’s a giant Mayor McCheese statue on eBay right now for $2,800. I’m guessing a Ronald McDonald on a bench would fetch at least $3k.
