In Search Of… The Complete Series on DVD

I have been waiting for a long time for In Search Of… The Complete Series to finally come to DVD so that I could revel in its Nimoy-hosted awesomeness. It appeared last month for pre-order on the Canadian Amazon, but they were dragging their heels on the US version until now. In Search Of… The Complete Series is now available for pre-order on DVD here in the US. The big problem? The US price is $134.99 vs the Canadian price which is CDN$ 69.99. What gives??? Not that I do not think the show is worth $134.99, but the price difference is a head-scratcher.

I really want it, but I am just bookmarking at this point and waiting to see what happens with the price. If I was in Canada, the pre-order would be in…

  1. I wonder if it will have the original intro or the “new” crappy intro that was used for A&E

These are the originals, not the knock-offs, if my info is correct. In theory, the price will eventually be the same here in the US once Amazon applies discounts to it. You could always order it from the Canadian site, though, as there aren’t any import fees. I may just do that, myself.

I hope Amazon does it soon. I think a lot of people will be turned off by the price difference (if they bother to check around). In the meantime, I might go with the Canadian purchase, just so I can have it sooner. It would be a great way to end the month.

  4. Yowza! I love that show, but that’s too rich for my blood.

Holy Balls!! I’ve been waiting a LONG time. That’s what she said. I wish Nimoy would consider even know doing another one. Price is very high, but that’s what we expect, right? I must get this, even though I will have to become like George CArlin on Bill and Ted’s in order to get the money.

I got my moose dollars all ready.

Great show, and good thing if they do have the original intro.
