8-Bit Terror Comes “Home” On Steam

The last time I can recall being really unnerved by a classic game was probably Infocom’s The Lurking Fear. And while Benjamin River’s indie game Home might be new it’s sporting an 8-bit style with plenty of atmosphere and an overwhelming creepy feeling to topple even the Lurking Horror.

It’s available Here on the official Home site as well as on Steam, how much will all of this atmospheric horror set you back? A mere $2.99. What are you waiting for? Put on your headphones and turn off the lights…and welcome Home.

  1. Atari Adventure Square says:

Looks intriguing, though I don’t know what to make of the ‘live’ ‘scary’ bits.
Hope it’s just creepy 8-bit with that neat sound.

Matt – there seems to be a YouTube video of gameplay linked at the end of this one.

  2. For what it’s worth the live bits are just for the trailer, it’s 8-Bit throughout the game.

The reason I didn’t add another video, Matt, is that the many walkthrough videos that are available on YouTube spoil A LOT of the game. Naturally.
