Jack Kirby’s Appearance On Entertainment Tonight (1982)

Today would have marked Jack “King” Kirby’s 95th Birthday. Jack Kirby is rightfully held in high esteem by fans of sequential art for his artistic, writing, and editing prowess. From his imagination sprang forth many memorable characters for both of DC and Marvel Comics. The Hulk, Kamandi, Devil Dinosaur, Thor, the Demon, The Fantastic Four, Iron Man, and the X-Men to name just a few of the series that he helped co-create or crafted solely on his own.

Thanks to the Jack Kirby Museum & Research Center we have this video below, featuring Catherine Mann interviewing King Kirby himself.

Here is Jack Kirby talking about Captain America and pretty much showing how great a guy he was!

Happy Birthday Jack!! I always loved his work on Captain America. Every comic creator I ever heard interviewed mentions him as a major influence. A true master who is still greatly missed today.
