Marty – Theatrical Trailer (1955)

“Marty” Theatrical Poster via IMP Awards

Wow, this last week saw the passing of not only Ben Davidson (Conan the Barbarian) and Andy Griffith but Ernest Borgnine (The Wild Bunch) as well. So let’s take a moment and remember the legendary actor in his Oscar winning performance as Marty Piletti and enjoy the trailer below. This is a pretty neat trailer actually because it was back in the day when you had a Producer like Burt Lancaster that would go to bat for you!

  1. Atari Adventure Square says:

A greatly enjoyable actor whose turn as Rogo the hot-headed cop in The Poseidon Adventure etched itself in my film memory.

I also liked him in the 1978 TV movie The Ghost Of Flight 401 (which, I think is still up on YouTube).

I’m glad he lived such a rich, long life.
