The “Secrets” of Spider-man’s Costume

Got to love this mundane comic filler. Of all the heroes, with all the costumes, they could not have picked a less interesting one to evaluate. Its basically just a lightweight set of tight fitting pajamas with a Spidey Signal (which is a horrible piece of equipment). Still this comic should not be judged too harshly, after all, it was meant to be just filler. Hmm on second glance it had a redeeming quality. When taken apart it becomes so much greater than the sum of its total.

Just grab a panel and make up your own headline. Here is mine:

One thing I’ve always wondered about spidey’s costume is how his mystical clinging ability works with a layer of cloth in the way. Granted, in the recent trilogy of movies, his ability was explained as tiny claws, which one could easily visualize as being able to poke through the clother. However, before that his clinging ability was always given a more mystic explaination, which failed to acct for how it could work through his gloves & boots.
