I loves me some Cold War photos, and this is about as cool as it comes: two F-15’s moving to intercept a couple of Soviet MiG-29’s high over the Bering Sea on August 1, 1989. And before you start thinking “Danger Zone,” this wasn’t a brush with World War 3 that never made the news. The MiG’s were on their way to an international air show in Canada.
