Jesus H. God. I discovered this podcast when youse guys did The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, but couldn’t get past the 18-minute mark. Douglas Adams not know for his writing ability? What the balls. He’s British. Read it out loud with a British accent, and it will make perfect sense. Better yet, get yourself a copy of the television or (preferably) radio series, and have it read for you — in perfectly easy to understand English — by a professional. Then again, whoever was doing the actual reading of the text was barely able to make it through the sentences on screen and had the same problem in this one, too, so apparently it’s his problem. Mr. Presser? Ford Perfect? Your reader makes the kind of errors that are only acceptable from people who speak English as a second language, or who are dyslexic. Of course, if either of those is the case, you can replace the entire preceding paragraph with “well done! I’m impressed!”

Oh, and Nontoonyt Island? It’s pronounced “none tonight,” as in, “what two words depress the hell out of a man with a raging erection?” I can’t fault you for not getting that one, because it’s totally counterintuitive.

@Belton I’m sorry if I was torturing you with my lack-luster reading skills, but the text in these emulators is often quite blurry. (anti-aliasing isn’t really a feature in most computer emulators) But if you’d like to accuse me of dyslexia or ESL that’s fine, I can add those to the long list of reasons why a person like me shouldn’t be doing a podcast in the first place.

It’s cool. I’m a troll and was a little drunk. And I’m super sensitive about Douglas Adams. I’ll disappear now, thanks..
