Fun with Shapes by Joanne Wylie and Ruth Ruhman
During my childhood years, clown-related paraphernalia was a prevalent presence in my surroundings. However, a staggering 90% of this assortment still has the uncanny ability to send shivers down my spine even to this day (yes, I'm glaring at you, bizarre wooden carved hobo clown wall hanging with the drooping flowers!)
In the midst of this circus-themed cacophony, there existed a singular exception—a beacon of pure joy and elation. This exception came in the form of "Fun with Shapes" by Joanne Wylie and Ruth Ruhman. This whimsical book not only served as an educational tool to introduce kids to the world of shapes but also showcased endearing clowns as its protagonists. Unlike their unsettling counterparts, these clowns radiated an aura of delight and brought forth nothing but a sense of happiness and warmth.
Either this book is not very popular now or was super popular back when it was printed in 1972, because you can pick up a used copy for under 8 bucks on Amazon.
