Painting of a Gremlins Lunchbox

Let’s say you always wanted your own Gremlins lunchbox, but for some reason you never got one. Boy, have I got a deal for you! Ladies and gentlemen, courtesy of WalkerDavisDesigns on Etsy, I present to you a painting of a Gremlins lunchbox:

For only $12 (plus $6 shipping), you can now own an original 8″x10″ painting of a lunchbox. And since it’s only a painting it can’t actually hold any food, so you don’t have to worry about your pet Mogwai eating after midnight. And it’s flatter than a lunchbox, which makes it easier to store.

I’m not sure which is more ridiculous — the fact that someone took the time to paint a picture of a Gremlins lunchbox … or the fact that I just bought it.

I’ll post a follow up post when it arrives.

You, sir, have excellent taste in art. But, I think you made a strategic error in announcing the acqusition on the site. You’ll have to install a top-notch security system to protect this from Thomas Crowne Affair type heists.

  2. I wrote this earlier in the week and should have updated it before it went live. The painting arrived earlier this week, and looks even more awesome in person. I’ve hung it in three different places in my home so far and my wife has removed it from the walls three different times. She says a Gremlin keeps taking it down but I know the truth.
