Inventor Portrait Video: Ralph Baer Interview (2012)

This video series by David Friedman entitled Inventor Portraits is something very amazing. David has gone and filmed interviews with contemporary Inventors like Steven Sasson, the inventor of the digital camera. With his latest video, David has interviewed Ralph Baer, the the genius behind the first home video game system, the Magnavox Odyssey. Take a few moments and listen to the man who could be considered the Father of all video games. By the way, this week marks Ralph’s 90th birthday!

Is it just me but did it look like he also worked on the M.A.S.K and StarCom toy lines?

For more of David’s work make sure to check out his blog at DFP: Blog! Or if you want to know more about Ralph H. Baer why not visit his website at Ralp H. Naer Consultants?

it saddens me that people like him and Chuck Peddle and others
are not more well-known and honored (though the Bush award was good to see).

    Thank you for posting.

  2. You are absolutely right, Dar. Glad you enjoyed it, make sure to hop over to David Friedman’s blog and thank him for doing this. :)
