Milky the Marvelous Milking Cow

When I was a young lad I spent a lot of time at my Uncle’s house just down the road. He had a dairy farm and I loved going in that building and seeing the process of the milk going from the cows, through the glass tubes and into the big shiny steel tank. In the early 70s Kenner introduced Milky the Marvelous Milking Cow. My mom bought one as a joke to give to my Uncle for Christmas. Well everyone enjoyed a good laugh on Christmas night but I was sad that I didn’t receive that cow for myself. No problem though, anytime I wanted to play with the toy I would just head down the road and visit my Uncle. You pushed Milky’s head down into a trough of water and pumped her tail which made her drink the water. When she was full she would raise her head and moo! Then you could milk the cow into the little bucket. I recently found Milky at a flea market at a good price and brought her home. Did anyone else have this toy as a kid and who thinks it is a pretty weird toy to have?

Milky takes a look at her favorite web site.

Milky gives a lift to her pal Geronimo who has lost his steed.

Warning: This song will get stuck in your head and your nightmares.

OH MY! I think I am in love with Milky! I just put a bid in to try and pick one up.

This is absolutely incredible, Plcary! I think my favorite part was the “and gives pretend milk”, I can just see the Lawyers demanding they include that in the ad so some kid wouldn’t try to drink it. ;)

@Retroist- Good luck on roping in your own Milky.

@ VicSage- The water turned to milk by using this little white pills. I think they were just powdered milk pills. My Milky still drinks water and moos quite heartily!
